Step 3: Install Motor ID 4
Install motor ID 4 in its mount, connect it to motor ID 3, and secure the assembly.
Parts needed
| Part | Count |
|---|---|
| EC-A4315-P2-36 (ID 4) | 1 |
| 1 | |
| M4x12 Flat bolts | 6 |
| M3x20 Socket bolt | 1 |
| Premade mating single-ended wire | 1, exact cable ID TBC |
| Solder, insulation, and strain relief | Specification TBC |
TBC: soldered pass-through connection
Do not complete this step until the two cable IDs, conductor mapping, solder specification, insulation, strain relief, and continuity, polarity, and short-circuit acceptance checks are published.
Instructions
Take part and lay it flat on a surface such that the hollow part is facing upward toward the ceiling.
Take motor EC-A4315-P2-36 (ID 4), hold it such that the motor shaft is facing your palm, and the port is at the bottom. Align the motor port with the port cutout on part . Then, slowly lower the motor down into the slot. Since this part has very precise tolerance, you need to align it perfectly so that the motor and the part fit together smoothly. The motor needs to bottom out and align properly with part or else you will have a fitting problem later on. Put it to one side.
Turn Part around such that the L shaped grove is still facing upward toward the ceiling and the big round hole part is toward you, while the previous motor shaft is facing away from you.
Join the previously routed supplied single-ended wire to its specified premade mating wire using the approved soldered pass-through procedure. Do not crimp or manufacture an XT30 connector during this step.
Take motor EC-A4315-P2-36 (ID 4) and part and slide it through the big round hole on part from the left side, such that the port cut out from part aligned with the L shape cut out on part .
After the soldered join passes its electrical checks, connect the premade XT30 (2+2) end of the mating wire to motor EC-A4315-P2-36 (ID 4).
Take 6 – M4x12 Flat bolts and lightly tighten into the 6 holes on part to align it with part . Once it is aligned, you can tighten all of the bolts to secure the part together.
Take 1 – M3x20 socket bolt and tighten it into the singular hole at the very edge of the circumference of part to secure it to part .
