Final Readiness Check

Confirm that either preparation path has produced the same assembly-ready physical state.

Both preparation paths

This gate checks the resulting physical state, not how the parts were obtained or prepared.

This is the boundary between preparation and assembly. Every required item must pass before opening the first torso assembly step.

1. Path Handoff

  • Either the DIY Kit Path Completion or Self-Source Path Completion check passed.
  • Build path, supplier, hardware revision, and applicable inventory revision are recorded.
  • Missing, damaged, substituted, rejected, or quarantined items are resolved.

2. Workspace and Safety

  • Assembly, storage, quarantine, electronics, battery, and supported-robot areas are ready.
  • Mechanical work will remain unpowered.
  • Required tools, consumables, PPE, crane, and emergency stop are available.
  • Site-specific safety, lifting, ventilation, ESD, and battery requirements are resolved.

3. Accepted Physical Inventory

  • Every required mechanical and off-the-shelf part is present and accepted.
  • Fasteners, inserts, bearings, shafts, linkages, electronics, and spares match released quantities.
  • Mechanical parts have acceptable finishes, holes, bearing locations, cable passages, threads, and mating surfaces.
  • Every required heat-set insert is present, straight, seated, and undamaged.

4. Wiring State

  • Every normal harness matches the released wire manifest and passed its applicable inspection record.
  • Cable IDs, quantities, lengths, connectors, endpoints, and module assignments are recorded.
  • Wago and soldered pass-through wires remain unjoined and are assigned to specific assembly steps.
  • The required connection method, insulation, strain relief, and electrical test are documented for each open join.

5. Electronics, Battery, and Power

  • Raspberry Pi 5, motion control, sensing, audio, networking, power, and safety hardware passed physical inspection.
  • Physical board SKUs, revisions, mounting hardware, and module assignments are recorded.
  • The battery condition, identity, connector, and installation requirements are confirmed.
  • The battery remains disconnected and its output protected.
  • Matched RPU and Raspberry Pi image versions, flashing results, and dashboard setup are recorded.
  • Public image sources, checksums, and approved setup power hardware are resolved rather than left TBC.

6. Actuators

  • All 25 actuators are present in the required model quantities.
  • Serial number, model, Motor ID, and physical location are recorded for every actuator.
  • No Motor ID is missing, duplicated, damaged, or inconsistent with its intended location.
  • Every actuator has a visible verified ID label.
  • Every actuator was programmed individually and its target Motor ID was read back successfully.

7. Module Kits

  • Torso kit is complete and contains the IMU.
  • Pelvis kit is complete and contains waist-yaw Motor ID 23.
  • Left and right arm kits are complete.
  • Left and right leg kits are complete.
  • Head kit is complete.
  • Left/right part-family and actuator assignments are resolved.

Gate Result

If any required item is unchecked or still TBC, stop in Preparation. Do not use instructions from the other sourcing path to improvise a repair or substitution.

When every item passes, the method of sourcing no longer matters. Both paths have produced seven accepted module kits for the same common assembly flow.
