Discover All 25 Motors

Use the setup dashboard to confirm that every installed Motor ID responds without commanding motion.

This check reads the installed actuator network. It does not command a pose or intentionally move a joint.

Current manual blockers

The complete assembly, rated support arrangement, power distribution, fusing, switching, and emergency-stop acceptance procedures remain TBC. Do not apply robot power until those prerequisites are resolved for the applicable release.

Run Discovery

  1. Apply power using the validated robot power-on sequence.
  2. Wait approximately two minutes for both computers to start.
  3. Join the asimov1 setup network.
  4. Open http://10.42.0.1:8080 and sign in with the changed account password.
  5. Confirm the dashboard reports the RPU as reachable.
  6. Open Motor setup.
  7. In panel 2 - Check motors, select Check motors.
  8. Confirm the result reads 25 of 25 motors detected.
  9. Confirm every Motor ID from 1 through 25 has a green result.

No joint should move during this read-only check. Use the emergency disconnect and stop if any joint moves, the robot shifts on its support, wiring heats, an alarm appears, or an unusual sound or odor occurs.

Missing Motor

If an ID is missing:

  1. Record every missing number and dashboard message.
  2. Shut down with the validated sequence and disconnect robot power.
  3. Confirm the zero-energy state before touching wiring.
  4. Inspect the missing joint's power and CAN path against the released wire manifest.
  5. Correct only a validated cable or assembly issue, then repeat discovery.

Do not continue to zeroing until all 25 IDs respond.
