Mechanical Installation Inspection

Inspect accessible mechanical conditions without moving joints or applying unverified torque values.

Inspect only externally visible and safely accessible conditions. Record each finding by module, location, description, photograph or evidence reference, and disposition.

Inspect Each Module

Review the torso, pelvis, both arms, both legs, head, and integration interfaces for:

  • cracks, deformation, impact damage, or assembly damage
  • visible gaps or misalignment where mating parts should be seated
  • missing, damaged, cross-threaded, or visibly backed-out fasteners compared with the assembly record
  • loose covers, brackets, bearings, shafts, linkages, or retaining hardware
  • externally visible actuator model and Motor ID labels
  • presence and orientation of installed stop and linkage components, without exercising them
  • pinched, abraded, or unsupported battery leads near the battery carrier
  • parts or interfaces whose side, revision, or acceptance state cannot be identified

Do Not Infer Acceptance

Visual inspection only

Do not move joints against stops, test free motion, apply torque, tighten fasteners by feel, or infer a safe range from model joint limits. Authoritative torque values, side-specific hard-stop criteria, manual-motion methods, and complete assembly acceptance criteria remain TBC.

The inspection may record that no visible finding was observed. It must not claim that the robot is mechanically complete while the head, torso redesign, ankle linkage, whole-robot integration, or side assignments remain unresolved.
