Fabrication Codes

CAD filenames include a letter identifying the intended process and material family.

Incoming and Final Inspection

For every manufactured part:

  1. Confirm the complete part number and revision.
  2. Confirm material, manufacturing process, and required finish.
  3. Inspect for cracks, warping, dents, incomplete features, and surface damage.
  4. Check holes, slots, cable passages, bearing seats, insert locations, and mating surfaces.
  5. Compare left- and right-side parts.
  6. Record the inspection result and quarantine rejected or questionable parts.

TBC: fabrication acceptance

Critical dimensions, tolerances, certificates, post-processing, thread preparation, cleaning, inspection equipment, and acceptance sampling are TBC.
