Step 12: Install Linkage Shaft

Assemble the D-shaft linkage and mount it to Sub Assembly C.

Parts needed

PartCount
6mm D-Shaft Stainless Steel, 2101-0006-0060, GoBilda1
6mm Bore 1-Side, 2-Post Pillow Block, 1602-0032-0012, GoBilda2
Ball Joint Rod End2
Steel Set-Screw Collar 6mm, 2920-0001-0006, GoBilda2
M4x14 Socket bolts4

Instructions

Take the 6mm D-Shaft Stainless Steel and put 2 – Steel Set-screw collar onto it. Move it to the middle of the D-Shaft.

Step 12: Install Linkage Shaft

Take 2 – Ball Joint Rod End and put it one each on the left and right of the D-Shaft.

Step 12: Install Linkage Shaft

Take 2 – 6mm Bore 1-Side, 2-Post Pillow Blocks and put one each on the left and right of the D-shaft.

Step 12: Install Linkage Shaft

Take current Sub Assembly C and flip it such that part is facing downward toward the floor.

Then take the D-shaft component we have been building and align it with part and according to the visualization below.

Take 4 – M4x14 Socket bolts and lightly tighten into the holes on part to align the 2 Pillow Block legs threaded holes.

Step 12: Install Linkage Shaft

Once the parts are aligned, remove each of the M4x14 sockets, apply the threadlocker onto them and tighten them back into the holes to secure part to the 2 Pillow Block.

Turn the current subassembly around such that part is facing downward toward the floor. You need to flush the 2 – Ball Joint Rod to flush against the 2 Pillow Block, then tighten the set-screw on the Steel Set-screw collar to secure them in place accordingly.
