Electronics Disassembly

Power down and disconnect the head electronics from the RPU so the RPU can be assembled into the torso.

With actuator setup complete, the Head Board and MCB are separated again so the MCB can be installed in the torso.

Power down first

Turn the system off before disconnecting anything. Press the button on the battery unit to power down, then disconnect the battery from the XT90-M(2+2) connector on the RPU. Never unplug data or power cables while the system is live.

Before You Start

  • All 25 motor IDs are assigned — see Assign Motor IDs.
  • The system has been powered on at least once and bring-up was confirmed during Actuator Setup.

Disconnect the Head Compute Board

Unplug the Ethernet RJ45 cable (blue) between the MCB and the RPI.

Disconnect the XT30-M to XT30-F cable (red) that runs between the MCB and the head board.

The Head Compute set-up can now be set aside for head assembly later on.

Disconnect the Battery from the MCB

Remove the XT30 battery power cable (red) from the MCB to disconnect the power fully.

The RPU is now fully disconnected from the head electronics and the battery, leaving only the assembled MCB set-up, ready for installation later on into the torso.
